Web Designer

Web designers design the graphics and overall layout of the pages of a website for whomever they are working for. That involves developing a graphic design that meets the clients' criteria. Sometimes Web Designers take part in the actual planning of the Web Site.  A Web Designer must have a     background in graphic design,  publishing, or fine arts. He/she must have also taken college course that involve computer science and hands-on computer experience. He/she may have a four or two year degree. A Web Designer must also be comfortable with various programming languages, softwares, and operating systems.

Web developers create the look and feel of a client's website. They meet with their clients to discuss the organization of the site.

 
Web developers must have a bachelors degree in Computer Science,  MIS, or anything else that is related. He/she must also have superior skills in various computer programs.

Webmaster

 

A webmaster is in charge of maintaining Web sites for companies and individuals on the World Wide Web. A webmaster is responsible for ensuring that a website is easy to navigate and that it addresses everyone's needs.

A web author is responsible for the images and content on a website. They research, plan, write copies and edit the content of a website. Web authors will probably need a degree in English, communication, journalism, information science, computer science, or MIS to be successful.
