What is Hispanic Heritage Month About?

Hispanic Heritage month was started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week by President Lyndon Johnson.  In 1988, President Ronald Regan expanded it to cover a 30-day period starting September 15 and ending October 15.  It was made into law on August 17, 1981.  During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture and recognize Hispanic contributions to the United States.
