Pablo Picasso was born on October 25th,
1881 in
Málaga,

Growing up in a middle-class
family home Picassos' father was also a painter.
For most of Picassos' life his father was a professor of
art at the School of Crafts and a curator of a local
museum. Picasso had a passion and a skill in art at the
age of 7. His father sent him to a Royal Art
Academy which was their countries most finest art school
around the age 15. In 1897 Picasso set off on his own.
He made his first trip to Paris in 1900. There he found
a friend who taught him language and literature, then
they moved in together. Though he would work on his work
all day long some of it would have to be burned to keep
the room warm. By 1905 Picasso became a favorite of the
American art collectors.
