Francisco Goya was born on March, 30 1746 in Fuendetodos, Aragón,
Spain. He was known for his famous painting, and printmaking. He spent
his early years of childhood where he was born. Goya's father earned a
living as a gilder. In the year 1750 the family moved to a city called
Zaragoza, where Goya attended school at Escuelas Pias. He later moved to
Madrid where he studied with Spanish Royalty painter Anton Mengs. When
he he submitted some paintings for the Royal Academy of fine art, in
1763, and1766, he was declined entry. He then moved to Rome where he won
a second prize award in an organized competition. He then moved back to
Zaragoza and worked on the Basilica of the Pillar. He began studying
with Francisco Subías. His paintings would then begin showing the
delicate tonalities for which he became famous. On July 25th, 1773 he
married Josefa which is Subias' sister. Goya had many famous paintings,
