Mario Molina was born on March 19, 1943 and is still
alive today. In 1973 he and Sherwood Rowland
discovered that a commonly used product
(chlorofluorocarbons) could damage the Earth's Ozone
Layer. They managed to get them banned and
received the 1995 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
