Luis Alvarez

          Luis Alvarez was born in 1911 and died in 1988.  He was a Radio distance and direction indicator.  He was awarded the Nobel Prize for physics in 1968.  He had helped to design a radar system to help aircraft land, and his son helped him develop the theory of extinction for dinosaurs involving the meteorite.
