Bill Richardson was born in 1947 in Pasadena California and is still alive today.  He is a democrat from New Mexico who was elected to the House of Representatives in 1983.  He became the U.S. ambassador to the UN in 1997.  In 1998, he was appointed to the secretary of energy.  In 2002 he became the governor for New Mexico.
