Gregory Nava, a noted director, was born in San Diego California on April 10th, 1949.  He and his wife, Anna Thomas, met at UCLA film school and collaborate on many projects. They have two children, Christopher and Tedy. He has directed many successful films. Some of his works include: Selena, El Norte, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and A Time of Destiny. Nava and his wife received an academy award nomination for their work on El Norte. But before his feature film, The confessions of Amans, he taught cinematography at Moorpark college.
