Manuel Aristides Ramirez aka Manny was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He grew up in New York. He attended George Washington High. Where he was found, and was drafted to the majors straight out of high school.
 

Manny Ramirez is known as one of the leagues most dynamic hitters. He hits so unorthodox. Most people have to shift their power from there legs to their back right when the pitch is thrown, but Manny can sit there and wait for the pitch to come and analyze the pitch. yet in the nick of time he brings the swing and knocks it out the park. Many wonder how he does it, but no one quit knows why...except for Manny.

 Manny was all city 1989-1991. In 1991 he was New York's high school player of the year. Nine Silver Slugger awards, five All-Star Game starts, 12 all-star game appearances.
