*Gloria Estéfan*

  Gloria Estéfan is a famous singer/ songwriter as well as a human activist. Gloria Estéfan was born on September 1, 1957 in Havana, Cuba, with the name Gloria Maria Milagrosa Fajardo. At an early age, she began to sing and learn the guitar. In 1975, Estéfan was able to join the group Miami Sound Machine, where she would also meet her husband Emilio Estéfan. Now, Gloria Estéfan releases CDs in both English and her native language, Spanish, selling many albums. On the side, she also makes time to help out other people in need with charities and other things. Today, she lives in Star Island, Florida, with her husband and her two children, Nyab and Emily Marie (http://latinmusic.about.com/od/artistsen/p/PROGESTEFAN.htm).
