Hispanic Heritage Month! |
|
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from
September 15 trough October 15. This month is to celebrate the
independence of Latin American countries. September 15 was the start
of five Latin American countries, Costa Rica, El Salvador,
Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Including Mexico and Chile who
celebrate their independence on Sept. 16 and 18.
The
term Hispanic means or is referred to as Spanish-speaking people.
There are many people in history who play a big role in Hispanic
Heritage Month. There is also people today that we acknowledge
during this time of celebration. Its great to see how
Hispanic's are striving and becoming more and more successful over
time. The same as we celebrate Black History Month is the same as
Hispanic Heritage Month. It shows how Hispanics have also
worked hard in life, stayed strong, and did what they needed to do
to get to where they are today!
