Alex Rodriguez

Alexander Emanuel Rodriguez was born on July 27, 1975 in New York City, New York.  His parents owned a shoe store in Washington Heights, where he and his siblings grew up. The love and game of baseball was passed down from A-Rod's father to himself. A-Rod was a very great player in his childhood. He set many high school state records, and led his teams to championships.

Eventually Alex went to play Major League Baseball at the age of 18. 1994 he signed with the Seattle Mariners. In 2001 A-Rod was traded to the Texas Rangers, and then once more in 2003 he was traded to the "great" New York Yankees. Sad to say for how great he is he has not yet won a world series.
