George Lopez was born April 23, 1961 in Mission Hills, California. George's father abandoned him when he was two month olds. at the age of ten, his mother proceeded to turn him over to his grandparents, which from that point on would raise george. george lopez used these roadblocks as motivation for his undeniably hilarious standup routines. george lopez broke ground for Mexican Americans, scoring many first in the comedic world. george lopez was the first after freddie prinze jr. to have a blockbuster sitcom on national television station thus opening the doors once again for Hispanic talent and giving the Hispanic community a much needed voice and role model.
