Create a Store for the
 EROOS Town Center

Congratulations!  You are now a new business owner.  What type of business do you own (example – clothing store, sports store, record store, car dealership, shoe store, toy store, grocery store, restaurant, movie theatre, fast food franchise, computer store, book store etc.)?

Design a website to let customers know what you sell.  Select a Business Template for your website.  Your website will have four text links or four buttons.  The first button/link will be your Home button.  You will need text strings for your other three buttons/links.

Your four navigation buttons/links should be located in the same place on each of your four pages.

Your website folder should be named Business followed by your name.  Make sure you have an images folder and index file inside your new Business folder.

Your website will have at least four pages.  Each page should be named.  All buttons or text links should be hyperlinked.  Include the Mapquest Logo on your Index page with a link to www.mapquest.com.  Use a sans serif font for your text.  Remember to save all your images in your images folder located your Business folder.

The name, address, phone number, fax number, email mail address and web address for your store must be on your index page.

Include a marquee to let your customers know about your sale items. (Insert Web Component - Marquee).

Make sure your customers know how they can pay for the items on your website (Visa, Discover, American Express, Pay Pal, Check).

Be creative but let your customers know exactly what you are selling (insert graphics) and the cost of each item.  You may also need to include descriptions of some items.  Remember to save often and cite your sources.

A type of link in which users click text to activate the link.

WEB AUTHOR

A person who writes the text that will appear on each Web page.

WEB SITE

A group of related files organized around a common topic; the files may include Web pages, graphics, audio, and video.

WEB PAGE

If you imagine the page is a person, there is the header at the top where the head would be, the body in the middle, and the footer at the bottom where the feet would be.

The header usually tells you the title of the page. It may also give the name of the person or the organization who owns the page.

The body contains all of the information.

The footer is where the author's name and the date the page was written is usually found. You may have to scroll down to find this.
