Congratulations!  You are now a new business owner.  What type of business do you own (example – clothing store, sports store, record store, car dealership, shoe store, toy store, grocery store, restaurant, movie theatre, fast food franchise, computer store, book store etc.)?

Select a template for your business website. (You may make changes to the template's color or the image on your selected template. Design a website to let customers know what you sell.  This information should be located on your index/home page.

The name, address, phone number, fax number, email mail address and web address for your store must be on your home/index page.

Find images online for your Business website.  If needed, create an image folder for your graphics/clipart.  Use the image folder that is already in your template folder.

Your website will have at least four pages.  Each page should be named.  All buttons/hypertext should be hyperlinked

Include the Mapquest Logo on your Index/Home page with a link to www.mapquest.com.  Use a sans serif font for text.  Remember to save all your images in your image folder located your Business folder.

Include a marquee on your Index page to advertise an upcoming sale. (Insert Web Component - Marquee).

Be creative but let your customers know exactly what you are selling (insert graphics) and the cost of each item.  How will your customers pay for your products or services? Make sure your customers know their payment options. You may also need to include descriptions of some items on your website.

Remember to save often and cite your sources.

If you imagine the page is a person, there is the header at the top where the head would be, the body in the middle, and the footer at the bottom where the feet would be.

The header usually tells you the title of the page. It may also give the name of the person or the organization who owns the page.

The body contains all of the information.

The footer is where the author's name and the date the page was written is usually found. You may have to scroll down to find this.
