Snow and lots of it

Over our incredible eleven day stretch of no school in the middle of February I shoveled an amount of snow that was previously unheard of in the Washington D.C.-Metropolitan area. We ascertained at least three feet of snow in two different blizzards. Our community was strongly urged not to leave our houses and to shovel driveways and sidewalks in spurts to avoid cardiac arrest. Other than cabin fever setting in, this break was quite relaxing.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

This game that was released on November 10, 2009 continued the legacy of the high selling franchise. Most of my late nights were spent playing MW2 with my friends from school on a team as we used tactics and a quick trigger finger to eliminate the competition. Unfortunately, this game probably ended a few teenage relationships because of the constant play on the male's part.

Peter Parker or Bryan Davie?

I also broke out the ol' camera phone and took pictures of the snow and animals using different filters. My favorite picture consisted of a cardinal in the midst of a furious snowstorm; if the cardinals feathers weren't bright red, then making out this majestic creature would be near impossible. Out of all of the filters on a camera I love the black and white filter. It seems to be the most expressive out of all of them; the colors take away from the meaning in the photo, whereas with black and white there is nothing to distract you. The photo is the only thing you can see.
