These are two of the greatest athletes to live.

Ernie Davis and Marion Jones

Black History Month is the time to appreciate our African Americans for what they did.  At first it was call "Negro History Week" by a man named Carter Woodson in 1926.  In 1976 it became it became a long month celebration.  The month of February was chosen by the birthdays of Fredrick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.  February 12, 2009, the NAACP marked its 100th anniversary.  The NAACP is the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  The two people I'm to be talking about are Ernie Davis and Marion Jones.  Ernie Davis was the first black football athlete to win the Heisman.  Now Marion Jones on the other hand was the fastest women to live in the world.
