Black History Month is a
designated time period when Americans of all races and ethnicities learn
and appreciate the value and importance of the African American people's
history. On this website you will find inventors of African decent who
have changed the world with their creativity and courage.
It is important to learn
history, because with no history there would be no present or
future. Black Americans were the building blocks of our nation and have
helped to mold American in to the free and accepting place that it is.
From colonial times through
today, Americans of African and Caribbean descent have contributed to
the advancement of medicine, physics, industrialization and plain old
fun. Famous Black Inventors is pleased to present an introduction to
just a few of the many modern-day African-American inventors, as well as
